Dr. Eveline Onkels

Dr. Eveline Onkels grew up in Beirut, Lebanon. She attended a French, Catholic school there and it is there that she became fluent in Lebanese, French and English. During the civil war in Lebanon in the mid-70’s she and her family immigrated first to England for a year and then to the United States.

After graduating high school at an accelerated rate she entered college at the age of 16. Eventually she became a respiratory therapist and worked at City of Hope Hospital for many years. It was always one of Dr. Onkels passions to become a doctor, especially an OB-GYN. However, with the influence and advice of a brother who was a chiropractic student at the time and a brother-in-law who was a chiropractor in private practice, she decided to enter Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles to also become a chiropractor. “So many people spend their health gaining wealth, and then have to spend their wealth to regain their health,” states Dr. Onkels. “There is no better way to preserve your health than through safe, effective chiropractic care.”

Dr. Onkels treats a wide spectrum of patients from geriatrics to personal injury cases with a speciality in pediatrics/pregnancy. She is certified in the Webster technique and is an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

She resides in Layton with her husband and daughters where she enjoys cooking, catching up on medical literature as well as watching inspirational, non-fictional stories.

Dr. MiChael Onkels

Dr. Onkels was born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota, home to the renowned Mayo Clinic. After moving to California to pursue his love of racing bicycles he suffered a serious accident that led him to his first chiropractic visit. It wasn’t long after that he felt called to become a chiropractor so he too could help others recover from their injuries and live a happier, healthier life.

Dr. Onkels attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology as well as his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He went into private practice immediately in Burbank, California and spent the next 20 years there. Dr. Onkels also practiced at a colleagues office which focused on motor vehicle accidents and it is here that he developed his skills with personal injury cases.

When he’s not in the office Dr. Onkels is usually out on his bike, having raced at all levels since he was 15 years old. In 2009 he won the Masters Road Cycling Championship to become the US National Champion. With the experience he has gained throughout the years he strives to help patients with their workout and sports injuries and achieve better health correctly.

Dr. Onkels lives in Layton with his wife, Dr. Eveline Onkels, and their daughters.

We strive for excellence in chiropractic healing.

  1. Whiplash: This occurs when the neck is suddenly forced forward and then backward, causing strain and sprain to the muscles and ligaments in the neck. It is a common injury in rear-end collisions.

  2. Head injuries: These can range from minor cuts and bruises to more serious traumatic brain injuries (TBI) such as concussions, skull fractures, and brain swelling.

  3. Spinal cord injuries: These can result in paralysis or loss of function below the point of injury. Even minor spinal cord injuries can cause chronic pain and disability.

  4. Broken bones: Any bone in the body can be broken or fractured in a car accident, depending on the force of the impact.

  5. Soft tissue injuries: These include bruises, cuts, sprains, and strains to muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

  6. Internal injuries: These include injuries to organs such as the liver, spleen, or kidneys, which can be life-threatening if not treated promptly.

Why they are the best

It is important to seek medical attention after a car accident, even if you feel fine at the time of the accident. Some injuries may not show symptoms right away, and delaying treatment can lead to complications and long-term disabilities.

At Onkels Chiropractic we work with the best personal injury attorneys in Utah! Depending on the severity of your injuries it may benefit you to have an attorney involved during your treatment and recovery. We can help guide you through this process and we do accept attorney liens. Give us a call today!

They are just awesome. Will recommend to anyone I know.
Seeing Dr Evelyn while pregnant has been the best decision I’ve made.”
— Jenny, Van Nuys
“I started seeing Dr. Evelyn when I was 20 weeks pregnant and having some serious lower back pain. She is amazing! Not only did she fix my back, she managed the myriad joint and muscle issues I had for for the rest of my pregnancy!
She used the Webster technique to help the baby be in the optimal position for delivery day. And when that day did come, baby was in the “perfect” position! After having the baby she helped get me re-aligned and back to tip top shape! Now Dr. Evelyn takes wonderful care of me AND my whole family.”
— Catie, N. Hollywood
