Prenatal + Postnatal/Pediatric

Pregnancy and early childhood are times of rapid change for the body. As a mother's center of gravity shifts and hormones loosen ligaments, many women experience low back, hip, and pelvic discomfort. At Onkels Chiropractic, we use gentle, pregnancy-appropriate techniques, including methods such as the Webster technique, to support pelvic balance and comfort throughout each trimester and in the recovery period after delivery.

Research suggests that pregnancy-related low back and pelvic pain responds to non-drug approaches. A Cochrane review (Pennick & Liddle, 2013) found that individualized physical therapies, including manual approaches, can help reduce pain and improve function in pregnant women. For postnatal patients, we focus on restoring mobility and helping the body adapt to the physical demands of caring for a newborn.

For infants and children, our care is gentle and carefully adapted to their size and development. Research on pediatric chiropractic is still developing, so we are always transparent about what is and isn't known, and we work alongside your child's pediatrician when appropriate. Parents are welcome to be present for every visit and to ask questions at any time.
