Dr. MiChael Onkels

Dr. Onkels was born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota, home to the renowned Mayo Clinic. After moving to California to pursue his love of racing bicycles he suffered a serious accident that led him to his first chiropractic visit. It wasn’t long after that he felt called to become a chiropractor so he too could help others recover from their injuries and live a happier, healthier life.

Dr. Onkels attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology as well as his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He went into private practice immediately in Burbank, California and spent the next 20 years there. Dr. Onkels also practiced at a colleagues office which focused on motor vehicle accidents and it is here that he developed his skills with personal injury cases.

When he’s not in the office Dr. Onkels is usually out on his bike, having raced at all levels since he was 15 years old. In 2009 he won the Masters Road Cycling Championship to become the US National Champion. With the experience he has gained throughout the years he strives to help patients with their workout and sports injuries and achieve better health correctly.

Dr. Onkels lives in Layton with his wife, Dr. Eveline Onkels, and their daughters.
