Sciatica

Sciatica is one of the more common injuries we experience in life. And if you haven’t ever had it you are more than likely familiar with the name. Classically, sciatica is a condition where one of the nerve roots exiting the lumbar spine is pinched or compressed sending sharp, electrical pain down the leg into the foot.

It can also cause numbness and tingling from the lower back down through the legs. Sciatica can be caused by a variety of factors, such as a herniated disc, spinal stenosis, or piriformis syndrome.

Although it may take a few visits to resolve we can use chiropractic adjustments along with low back decompression and therapy such as muscle stimulation, ultrasound, and cold laser treatments for a complete recovery.
